Elephant's Trunk Nebula
In the constellation of Cepheus. In a stretch of the Milky Way darkened by banks of dark nebulae lies an open star cluster, IC 1396. One of these overlapping dark nebulae is called the “Elephant's Trunk” and is catalogued as vdB 142.
