Cygnus wall
In the constellation of Cygnus, near the very bright star Deneb. This area is marked by a vast nebular region, NGC 7000, known as the North America Nebula for its resemblance to the American continent. The area corresponding to the Gulf of Mexico, and Mexico itself, is “drawn” by a genuine wall of interstellar gas, dust and recently formed stars: a huge, compact H II region that appears to be lit up by the star Deneb and stretches for about 15 light-years.
